Welcome to the Blackboard e-Education platform—designed to enable educational innovations everywhere by connecting people and technology.
Students - If you cannot see your Spring Blackboard course, it may be because your professor has not yet made the course Available. Many professors do not make Blackboard courses Available until the first week of the semester. If you are registered for Spring courses that are being taught in Blackboard, it is after the first week of the semester, and you cannot see your course, please contact your instructor.
Passwords are Case Sensitive. If you cannot log in to Blackboard and it is after January 1st, please contact the OIT Help Desk at 540-887-7075, M-F between 8 and 4.
If you have an Incomplete and you cannot see your prior Course, please contact your Professor to remind them to make both the course AND you as a student Available.
MBU usually schedules planned maintenance to Blackboard on Saturday mornings between midnight and 6am. Please note there may be outages during this time period.
Students uploading assignments and professors uploading files please note! If you are using Microsoft Edge, do not open the source file after selecting it for upload into Blackboard Learn, or it may be blank. To prevent this:
Save and close your files before uploading them to Blackboard. Or,
Use Firefox, I/E or Chrome instead of Edge.
After August 31, 2017, Blackboard will no longer support Mobile Learn. Students should use the Blackboard app for students and Instructors should use the Blackboard Instructor app for educators
